Position Spotlight: Project Management Analyst
Taylor Flynn is originally from Flint, Michigan and has been a Nashville resident for just over two years. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Michigan and her Master of Public Health from Michigan State University. What does a Project Management Analyst do at Contessa? My role is responsible for assisting with implementing Contessa care models with new joint ventures. I also help our current joint ventures with expansions or special projects.
Why did you choose a career in project management? One of my many life mottos is to take small steps toward the big goals I want to achieve in life. Project management (especially on the implementations team) is all about taking those incremental steps that get us to the goal: launching a new project! I love the art of organizing and the satisfaction of crossing items off a to-do list.
What is the best part of your job? Hands down, the best part of my position is helping strained health systems that are facing a multitude of challenges by assisting with the implementation of our integrated home care delivery network. Our program helps relieves pressure from hospital staff while allowing patients to receive the care they need from the comfort of their homes.
What is the most challenging part of your job? So far, no two markets have been the same and each joint venture or special project has been unique. It’s a welcomed challenge. What is applicable to a market in one city is completely different from what is necessary for implementations in another.
What inspires you to come to work every day? Contessa is paving the way in healthcare innovation. It is exciting to be a part of an organization that is offering a unique service and that is passionate about the people it serves.
