Travis Messina

Travis is passionate about treating patients in a setting that best fits their needs, which is often the home. He founded Contessa in 2015 to provide a new standard of healthcare for providers, payers and patients. Since its launch, the company has partnered with six health systems across the US and continues to grow. Before Contessa, Travis built his career investing in healthcare ventures. He spent time at Martin Ventures, Vanguard Health Systems, Signal Hill Capital and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.

Mark Montoney

Mark Montoney, MD, MBA

Mark has a deep history and passion for geriatric medicine. He was first drawn to Contessa because of its unique and specific delivery of care, which is often highly beneficial to geriatric patients. In his role at the organization, Mark oversees all clinical operations, including patient safety protocols, utilization management, research and innovation, and physician leadership development. Prior to this role, Mark served in the chief medical officer for Tenet Healthcare, Vanguard Health Systems and OhioHealth, where he practiced internal medicine and geriatrics.
