Position Spotlight: Senior IT Analyst
Before beginning his career in information technology (IT), An worked as an accounting technician while pursuing his Bachelor’s in Information Systems from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). His journey in IT began with providing support for NTT Data, i2i Population Health and now Contessa.
During his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also enjoys cooking and traveling. An’s long term goal is to engage more with influential decision making and lead a team who’s passionate about helping others.
Why did you choose a career in IT?
I chose a career in information technology because it allows me to utilize my skills and knowledge to make people’s jobs more efficient and productive. IT support is the essential aspect of the infrastructure for any company because it requires a combination of both technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. Being in IT support provides me the opportunity to use my analytical skills with my creative abilities. Technology is always changing, and I’m continually challenged to learn new things.
How does the work you do at Contessa differ from other jobs?
My work at Contessa allows me to do more than just provide technical support. I am also able to serve as an integral part of healthcare by providing operational support to providers and making a positive impact on patients’ wellbeing. Additionally, I am provided with the opportunity to travel to each of our JV markets where my support is needed. It is very rewarding to witness where and how my efforts help on the field which is a first for me.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is seeing the impact my work and collaboration with other Contessa team members have made on the company’s logistics and operations. I have the privilege of solving some of Contessa’s most difficult operational challenges and enjoy seeing the progress. While my work is complex, it is also rewarding.
What’s the most challenging part of your job?
The most challenging part of my job is keeping myself updated with the most current technology. Technology is a fast growing and evolving field, and it is important for me to stay in the loop of the latest technology development in order to be successful at my job.
What inspires you to come to work every day?
With my work, a new day means new challenges. Finding innovative ways of approaching a problem is my creative outlet. I love thinking up fresh solutions and ideas. My work challenges me to be creative in providing the best support possible. I also appreciate getting to work with some of the greatest leaders in healthcare.
