It’s still the very early days of hospital-at-home, Travis Messina, CEO and founder of Contessa, told Liza Berger, editor of McKnight’s Home Care. It’s the “top of the first inning,” he said during the Home Care 100 Leadership Conference in Scottsdale, AZ. Contessa is operating in eight of Amedisys’ markets and aims to be in 15 by the end of 2022, he said.
